Wedding at The Red Rocks and The Curtis Hotel | Allison and Paul

Allison and Paul had a beautiful wedding recently at Red Rocks Park with a reception at The Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver. There is not really much to say, as I believe the photos mostly speak for themselves. As usual, Haley Poulos gave me a hand and provided hours of entertainment throughout the evening.

Downtown Denver Engagement Photos | Alisha and Preston

So I am really starting to like people from Iowa. Both Alisha and Preston recently relocated from Iowa, and I just shot an awesome wedding in Vail that I will post soon with an amazing couple that flew into town from Iowa. So yeah, Iowa rocks! These two were made to be in front of the camera. I generally ask the couple that I am shooting, what sort of mood do you want to go for, meaning fun, serious, sexy, goofy, or whatever. I was told that they are generally a fun couple which was totally true, but these two gave me some awesome serious expressions, which I am a total sucker for, but rarely find couples that can pull it off. These two were amazing! Alisha and Preston are getting married this fall in Cozumel Mexico, and can’t wait to be there for their beautiful destination wedding.

Garret And Dia Engaged And Hanging Out At Cherry Creek

Garret and Dia were in town recently from New York and we were able to get together at Cherry Creek for some engagement photos. These two were simply out of control! Between the “Fire” denim skirt that Dia had, Garret’s great touch of Fashion, and maybe a little bottle of Jameson, the party was well underway. Thanks sooooo much to Garret and Dia for being soooooo fun, and allowing for me to love my job even more…… Can’t wait for the wedding!

Downtown Denver Engagement | Erin and Brian

Erin and Brian braved the cold, the rain, a lot of walking, and a slip and fall to get some of these photos. We did the typical REI to downtown loop via Commons Park with a few stops along the way. Erin and Brian have a great wedding planned this summer in Estes Park which will be here in no time……

Denver Family Photos | Sam, Meagan, and Clayton!!!

Earlier today, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Sam, Meagan, and their newest addition to the family Clayton! I photographed Meagan and Sam’s wedding in Vail a couple summers ago, and was thrilled when Meagan asked if I could take some photos of their family. I get along great with all my clients, but Sam and Meagan have always been an absolute blast to work with. From meeting at 7:00am for an engagement shoot on a Saturday morning, to making me feel like family at their wedding, it has truly been an honor. Without further delay, here they are……

Andrea and Lane’s Wedding | Long Over Due

So the very talented Rachel Grace asked me this past summer to help her out as she was in a bind for a 2nd shooter, and I of course kindly accepted. I LOVE to 2nd shoot. Sure its not the same as having your own wedding, but you generally have 100% creative freedom and get to be the fly on the wall that I love to be. Anyhow, these were from the heart of the 2009 wedding season, and for whatever reason, I never got around to blogging them. So I hope you enjoy this little mid-winter treat….

Wings Over The Rockies | Photo Safari

I have been terrible at blogging lately, so I thought I would share some personal stuff. Amber, Taylor and I recently made a day trip to the Wings Over The Rockies to get out of the house a little bit. Me, being the big dork that I am, brought the camera and just sort of goofed around. What could be better, family, camera, and some aviation. None of these are award winners, but just the way I like to look at aviation.

Wash Park Engagement Session: Jessica and Mike

A couple weeks ago I had the extreme privilege of hanging out with Jessica and Mike to capture a few photos of just them being them for their engagement photos in Denver at Wash Park. Jessica is obviously gorgeous and seemed quite natural in front of the camera, and Mike, after a little warming up, fit right in. Though we did miss the prime fall colors, I think we still made the best of it and had a great time. Thanks to the both of you, and I’m looking forward to the wedding next year!!!

Denver Turnverein Wedding: Heather and Paul

As their guests refer to them as Dr. and Dr. Smith, Heather and Paul tied the knot recently with a private ceremony at Paul’s parents house in Conifer, with an awesome reception at the Denver Turnverein. Their were quite a few highlights that made this wedding so cool. For starters, the house in Conifer was beautiful. After shooting in sooo many churches and places specifically designed for weddings, a unique place where a wedding has never taken place before, is always on the top of my list. Next, was the great detail that went into all the decorations and planning in general. They did everything themselves and you would have thought they hired a professional. Among the other elements, such as a choreographed dance, a great group of friends and family, the fact that Heather and I grew up in the same small town in South Florida, they had a unbelievably funny “fake” ceremony at the reception for all of those who could not make it to the smaller ceremony early in the day. Complete with an Indiana Jones skit, a man holding a thermal physics book wearing a pope hat, and a couple people holding signs indicating when to applause, it was priceless. I often hear other photographers talk about they have way too many photos to post on their blog, this is one of those posts for me. Thanks to Heather and Paul for the great time!!!!!
